The Press: Dull, Eh?

Newsreaders who are beginning to feel that one war correspondent's story is very like another—especially those of the war in France—were offered an explanation last week by LIFE'S famed War Photographer Robert Capa. Said he:

"In war there are two sides. Usually there is a contest. You never know what is going to happen and your side may win or it may lose. That is what makes war interesting. But in France there is no contest. The result is too certain."
