Mother Church smoothed her skirts, patted her grey head, said she was feeling fine. Her funds "were in a sound, healthy condition," and "at no time in the history of the movement has the healing work been carried on with greater success. . . ." The one U. S. State which had fenced out Christian Science practitioners—Texas—had relented during the year.
