Clarence Hungerford Mackay, now inactive telegraph, telephone, wireless and radio capitalist, knowing well that the subordinate workers of vast organizations rarely get public praise, established the Clarence H. Mackay Trophy to be given to the Army pilot who performs the most meritorious flight service of any one year.
