At another august convention in Atlantic City—that of the American Bronchoscopic Society — Dr. Sidney Yankhauer, of Manhattan, described how cancer can be relieved by means of a chain made of three links, preferably platinum, with a capsule containing radium in each link, which, in a rubber casing and weighted with a gold ball, is swallowed by the patient and kept in the intestines several hours a day. Other cancer treatments were outlined by the learned members. All agreed that there was no cure.
