For years the most gushing cinema reviews in the Hearst newspapers have been reserved for the output of Metro-Goldwyn-Mayer's studios. Beginning Jan. 1, such reviews will go almost exclusively to the pictures of Warner Brothers. Reason for this change, as announced last week: On the first of the year Cosmopolitan Corp., which makes all the starring vehicles for Marion Davies (Polly of the Circus, Going Hollywood, Peg O' My Heart, Operator 13) will transfer its production and distribution from MGM to Warner Brothers.
