Foreign News: Federal State

This week Austria ceases to be a republic. A dictatorship in fact for a year, the Government of Engelbert Dollfuss announced that henceforth the official title of the nation will be the Federal State of Austria.

Under the new Italian-model Constitution, effective April 1, all power will "emanate from God the Almighty." The Head of State will be advised by four councils (political, ecclesiastical & educational, commercial, provincial).
