Big-eyed with fear a Jewish butcher named Ludwig Frohwein was hustled into court at Weisbaden last week to confess that he had butchered a steer in kosher fashion.

By decree of Chancellor Hitler no kosher meat may be prepared in Germany. It can only be imported, under restrictions so drastic that German rabbis are now urging vegetarianism as the only salvation of the Fatherland's 200,000 Orthodox Jews.
