In 1790, a year after George Washington and colleagues got the United States functioning under its present Constitution, a baby was born in Virginia and baptized John Tyler. Fifty-one years later John Tyler was inaugurated tenth President of the United States, Twelve years after that, when he was 63, John Tyler's wife bore him a son in Virginia.
