Seven times in the last eight years the Intercollegiate Games have been won by a California college. Last week Stanford, true to precedent, was first at Cambridge, 17⅔ points ahead of Yale. The big event was the pole vault in which the three best vaulters in the world competed—Ward Edmonds of Stanford, Les Barnes of Southern California, and Sabin Carr of Yale.
