Science: Heat Waves?

In Pittsburgh, the American Society of Heating and Ventilating Engineers convened. Their president, Engineer S. E. Dibble, touched upon the heat of the future in a manner coolly prophetic: "It is no more improbable to broadcast heat waves than it was to broadcast sound waves. . . . The day is not far off when we shall see huge centralized heating plants broadcasting heat to be utilized at far distant points in homes, plants and office buildings."
