At Madrid el Rey Alfonso XIII embraced that genial Pittsburgher, Alexander Pollock Moore, U. S. Ambassador to Spain, devoted husband of the late Lillian Russell. Mr. Moore, who is said to address Alfonso as "Chief" and the Duke of Alba as "Jimmy," had just officially informed his royal friend that he was about to resign as Ambassador and return to the U. S.
