The South Dakota League of Women Voters passed a resolution recommending that when a seat on the Supreme Court next becomes vacant the President appoint a woman in order that women and children may have " an advantage in our highest court."
The occasion of the resolution was the Supreme Court's decision voiding the minimum wage law for women in the District of Columbia.
