London's busy gossipers rumored that a postwar candidate for the House of Commons, inevitable doorway to British politics, may be General Sir Bernard Law Montgomery. Monty seems to lean toward the third-string Liberal Party, but either of the two bigger ones (Conservative, Labor) would be happy to sign him up.
