Re "The Sixth Ring"
[Feb. 10]: The Winter Olympics in Sochi should be seen as a platform where athletes from widely divergent nations could come and compete with one another irrespective of their gender, ethnicity, religion and sexual orientation. It should be seen as an oasis of religious tolerance, cross-cultural understanding and harmonious coexistence among peoples united by respect and teamwork. Russia must embrace the 21st century with a democratic, inclusive and rainbow outlook.
