A Shared Achievement

Last week TIME won the National Magazine Award for Magazine of the Year, the industry’s biggest award, which is given out by the American Society of Magazine Editors. In some ways, the award is a misnomer, for it honors the title that excels in both print and digital. While the recognition is gratifying, I’m telling you this so I can share the award with you and thank you myself. The journalism we create daily in print, online, on tablets, on mobile devices and in every other format, we create for you–so the award goes to you as much as it does to us. More than 50 million of you interact with TIME every week on all our platforms in all our editions around the globe. Our mission is to explain the world to you, and our means of doing so is on every platform under the sun. And we have no intention of resting on our laurels. We are evolving the look and scope of TIME.com refining our iPad app and working with Tumblr, Instagram, Foursquare, Google+ and Pinterest to reach you where you are. And, of course, we are strengthening our presence on Facebook and Twitter, where our @TIMEx feed has 3.46 million followers. We also offer All Access subscriptions, which feature online and tablet access to enhanced editions of the magazine as well as to our complete archive. Thank you, as always, for reading.
