Interesting article regarding British tabloids [Tabloid Bites Man, July 25]. But it failed to point the finger at the guiltiest party: the British people. The tabloids' unethical and sometimes criminal tactics were well known for years, yet 7.5 million people bought the
News of the World
every Sunday, effectively giving the press a pass to pursue stories by any means necessary. Those who paid money for improperly acquired information are no less guilty than those who sold it.
