    * | What They're Rebranding in Chicago: On July 12 the YMCA announced that it would shed three letters and change its name to the Y, since most people already refer to it as such. The nonprofit organization was founded as the Young Men's Christian Association in 1844 and was immortalized in song more than a century later (and at millions of weddings since). Naturally, the Village People chimed in on the name change: "While we admire the organization for the work they do, we still can't help but wonder Y."
