nginx/1.14.0 (Ubuntu) You think you have wardrobe issues? Imagine you’re Queen Elizabeth II — what would you wear to meet the Pope or Marilyn Monroe? For the answer, check out “The Queen’s Working Wardrobe: Memories of Royal Occasions 1945-1972,” an exhibit at Kensington Palace in London through July.

The display features 12 couture outfits worn by Elizabeth and celebrates Her Majesty’s diverse and sometimes quirky style, from the drab Auxiliary Territorial Service uniform she donned during World War II to the glamorous black velvet evening gown she wore to The Battle of the River Plate opening in 1956, where she met Monroe. Also in the exhibition is the full-length black lace dress with matching veil the Queen wore when she met Pope John XXIII at the Vatican in 1961.

Perhaps an exhibit will one day feature what the Queen wore to Prince Charles and Camilla Parker Bowles’ wedding.
