Music: I Get Wet

Maybe there will be a dumber record this year, but don’t count on it. Andrew W.K. (an abbreviation of his surname, Wilkes-Krier) sings about partying and…well, just partying. On Party Hard–one of three tracks with party in the title, including Party ’til You Puke–he screams, “Let’s get a party going, let’s get a party going, now it’s time to party and we’ll party hard–party hard!” Andrew’s yawping vocals are almost as funny as the music, which owes a debt to Quiet Riot and Poison. Is he kidding? Probably. Is it fun? Not enough for multiple listens. –By Josh Tyrangiel
