Married. Samuel Joachim, 32, Jimmy of the three lunatic Ritz Brothers (One in a Million, Life Begins in College); to Ruth Hilliard, 21, radio and night club singer, screen actress; in Manhattan.

Harry Richman, 42, hotspot crooner and entertainer; and Hazel Forbes Judson Richmond, 27, onetime showgirl who in 1932 inherited some $2,000,000 from her second husband, Tooth Powder Tycoon Paul Owen Richmond (Dr. Lyons'); in Miami Beach, Fla. The bride had three attendants; the groom, who helped popularize the song, I Love a Parade, had 17.

Sued for Divorce. John Randolph Hearst, 28, third son of Publisher William Randolph Hearst; by his second wife, Gretchen Wilson Hearst; in West Palm Beach, Fla. Grounds: that he has a violent and ungovernable temper.

Divorced. Ellen Wilson McAdoo de Onate, 22, fourth daughter of California's Senator William Gibbs McAdoo and granddaughter of the late Woodrow Wilson; from Rafael Lopez de Onate, 41. Philippine-born cinemactor; in Los Angeles. Charge: nonsupport.

Divorced. Walter Wanger, 43, cinema producer (You Only Live Once, Stand-In) ; by Justine Johnstone Wanger, 39, famed oldtime Ziegfeld Follies girl; in Los Angeles. Charge: that Producer Wanger was "abrupt, surly and discourteous."

Died. Grey Owl, 50, self-educated Canadian Indian trapper who turned naturalist and conservationist (TIME, Jan. 3); of pneumonia; in Prince Albert, Sask. Returning a month ago from a tour of the U. S. and England, where he gave a command performance before King George and Queen Elizabeth, he told Ontario newshawks that "another month of this lecturing will kill me."

Died. John Francis Dore, 56, mayor of Seattle, Wash.; of heart trouble and blood poisoning; in Seattle. Bristling supporter of powerful A. F. of L. Teamster Union Chieftain David Beck, he often admitted: "Dave Beck runs this town." Mayor on & off since 1932, he was defeated in this year's primaries, would have been replaced in June by Businessman Arthur B. Langlie.

Died. Serafín Alvárez Quintero, 67, prolific Spanish playwright (Malvaloca, A Sunny Morning, A Hundred Years Old); of hemiplegia, a form of paralysis; in Madrid. Still alive is Brother Joaquín, 65, with whom he collaborated on more than 200 plays.
