Bryan Cranston

Age: 56
Occupation: Actor

"I won." With those last, deadpan words of Breaking Bad's bloody Season 4 finale, Cranston sealed the transformation of Walter White from nebbishy, cancer-stricken chemistry teacher to unrepentant crystal-meth peddler and killer. Cable TV's great dramas have given us memorable antiheroes like Tony Soprano, but what makes White so compelling, and horrifying, is that he begins as one of us. Cranston's committed, wholly human performance — which has won him three Emmys so far — makes White an everyman, and thus twice as chilling.
