Nicki Minaj, New York Fashion Week
The person who arranged the seating charts at Carolina Herrera's spring 2012 runway show in New York City has some sense of humor. Nicki Minaj, a rapper who also goes by Nicki the Ninja or Nicki the Harajuku Barbie, was an unusually suitable seatmate for Vogue's long-reigning empress, Anna Wintour. While Wintour often opts for spotless elegance with a splash of color, Minaj tends toward splashy colors and, in this case, a lot of spots. The outfit was a win for Wintour too, as her habit of wearing sunglasses indoors suddenly seemed understandable.
