Tune for Two

You're barely conscious, being dragged through the snow. You see your feet, then catch a glimpse of a man digging a grave. The next instant you hear the cock of a pistol behind your head. You're about to be killed. What do you do? Plead for mercy? Cry? Close your eyes and try to think of a better place? Or sing a song made famous by the Muppets and coax your executioner into joining along?

When the man with the gun starts responding with Mah Nà Mah Nà (Piero Umiliani's tune used in comic sketches by everyone from Benny Hill to Sesame Street), you start to think this just might work out okay. Maybe he won't kill you after all? Wouldn't that be nice?
