Gwen Stefani

The No Doubt singer launched her L.A.M.B. label — the acronym comes from her first solo album, Love. Angel. Music. Baby. — after years of tabloid magazines swooning over what they often called her eclectic, edgy and bold style. Though most people appreciated Stefani's new line and thought her to be among the more serious celebrity turned designers, the New York Times' Cathy Horyn disagreed: "If ever there was a reason for a pop star to concentrate on her vocal skills, it was Gwen Stefani's fashion meltdown." Perhaps Horyn isn't a big fan of South American– and Asian-inspired clothing. Nevertheless, the line, which also includes bags, shoes and perfume, brings in a reported $90 million a year.
