The Bus from Speed

The genius behind the epic 1994 action film Speed was as simple as its name. Take all the regular ingredients for an action film — car-chase scenes, explosions, a good guy, a bad buy, an attractive woman unexpectedly caught up in the whole mess — and put them on a bus. More specifically, have the bad guy plant a bomb on the bus and arm it to explode if the said bus falls under 50 m.p.h. The film, starring Keanu Reeves and Sandra Bullock, was a hit at the time, and today is remembered fondly by its popular nickname, Die Hard on a Bus.
