Natasha Reid

Natasha Reid may not be a hero in the traditional sense, but she still deserves an honorable mention for doing the right thing. Eventually. The 24-year-old university graduate took part in the London plundering, snatching a $440 TV from a home appliance store. Later that night, however, Reid was seized by an attack of conscience, according to her lawyer, and took the television to a local police station. Reid, who has said she aspires to be a social worker, tearfully told a London court that she was "unable to sleep" after what she had done. The district judge hearing Reid's case, Elizabeth Roscoe, told her that her sense of remorse would "very much go in your favor" but warned that she could still face jail time.
