Rob Bell became a hero in the Christian community for his hip music-video-style minisermons. The pastor of the 7,000-strong Mars Hill Bible Church in Grand Rapids, Mich., has also sparked controversy for his not-quite-orthodox theology. His new book, the New York Times best seller Love Wins, which re-examines the roles of heaven and hell, proved to be too much of a reboot for some Christian leaders who suggested he had strayed from biblical truths.
