The Travelocity Gnome
The travel company's mascot is a pint-size, 300-year-old gnome from North Carolina. Viewers first became familiar with the globe-trotting figure in a 2004 series of ads titled "Where Is My Gnome?" Playing off the tradition of the traveling-gnomes prank most famously seen in the 2001 French film Amélie, Travelocity's Roaming Gnome journeys to the corners of the earth to warn customers about vacation snags, offer sightseeing tips and debunk travel myths. Adorable and useful.
