Queen Joins Facebook
Facebook: a fitting addition to the life of the iPod owning, tweeting, YouTubing Queen. You can't friend her, you can't post on her wall and you certainly can't poke her, but Queen Elizabeth II joined Facebook on Nov. 8. You can "like" the fan page for the British Royal Monarch to receive updates and news from the palace. More than 280,000 people have liked the Queen on Facebook in her first few weeks, during which she posted the announcement of Prince William and Kate Middleton's engagement, the schedule for her trip to Oman and several photos of herself in fancy hats. We're sure it's not actually the 84-year-old Queen updating her page, but it's fun to pretend.
