Elisabeth Hasselbeck to Erin Andrews, for Making Light of Her Stalker
The View co-host Elisabeth Hasselbeck apologized to ESPN reporter Erin Andrews after joking that the stalker who had photographed Andrews naked could have just waited a few weeks and seen her in scanty outfits on Dancing with the Stars. (Oddly, Hasselbeck was wearing a strapless dress while saying this.) The View's resident blonde quickly called the sports reporter turned TV dancer and apologized, and then choked up about it on the air, thus narrowly averting an ESPN-ABC face-off. Disney, which owns both outlets, would not have been pleased.
