Kevin Smith

"Wanna tell me I'm too wide for the sky? Totally cool. But fair warning, folks: IF YOU LOOK LIKE ME, YOU MAY BE EJECTED FROM @SOUTHWESTAIR."

For someone known for playing a character named Silent Bob, director Kevin Smith was certainly vocal following his ejection from a Southwest Airlines flight when he couldn't fit into his seat comfortably. Smith, who has publicly struggled with his weight, originally purchased two seats but decided to fly standby on an earlier flight which had only one free seat. According to Smith, he was removed from the flight after he had already been seated — and after his fellow passengers realized who he was. Southwest offered Smith an apology, a $100 voucher and a seat on a later flight, but the airline still suffered a public-relations disaster after Smith's dozens of tweets criticizing the airline's decision to kick him off.
