Morgan Freeman

Over the course of his 40-year career, he's played a President, a brilliant detective, a boxer, Nelson Mandela and God. Morgan Freeman has constantly demonstrated his ability to morph into various characters, going from debonair to destitute to downright inspirational. In 2005, he won a Best Supporting Actor Oscar for his role in fellow badass Clint Eastwood's movie Million Dollar Baby. And his critically acclaimed turn as Nelson Mandela in Invictus proved to be yet another peak in his already impressive film portfolio. It helps that he also appears in movies like Wanted, The Dark Knight and Red, each as cool as that unforgettable voice of his. The American Film Institute will salute his badassness with a Lifetime Achievement Award next June.
