Nick Ayers

Beyond Wall Street and Silicon Valley, you don't often see a 28-year-old managing a $90 million account. But that's what Ayers will do if the RGA, which is airing television ads around the country, meets its fundraising targets this fall. And if RGA chairman Haley Barbour runs for President in 2012, it's a good bet this Georgia-born wunderkind will be a pivotal member of that team.

Who is your political hero/inspiration?
Teddy Roosevelt

What's your go-to political blog?
RedState and the Huffington Post

If you weren't working in politics, what would you be doing?
I hope to figure that out for myself one day!

What's the most overlooked issue facing America these days?
Unfunded liabilities at the state level. State pension liabilities and the states' share of federal entitlement programs are on an unsustainable trajectory.

Where do you see yourself professionally in five years?
I don't make long term plans. Really.
