Nikon F
Making its debut in 1959, the F was Nikon's first single lens reflex camera and widely considered a turning point in 35-mm photography. The F's core features had been introduced elsewhere as far back as 1925, but the new technology earned worldwide appeal because it combined everything in one camera. It was also modular, and parts could be easily swapped in and out. The F was quickly adopted by professional photographers and photojournalists overseas.
