Sometimes it's the little things that can leave a lasting impression. Low-tech as it seems compared with the rest of the list, George Blaisdell's windproof Zippo lighter has stood the test of time since 1933 and remains a piece of Americana. As a matter of fact, Zippo's unconditional lifetime guarantee states that "it works or we fix it free," and the company says that no person has ever paid a cent to repair their Zippo. Over 425 million lighters have been produced since the first one was introduced 77 years ago.
