Three TV Goodbyes to Catch

Hope you've got plenty of tissues: Oprah Winfrey begins her 25th and final year in daytime talk Sept. 13, and somehow we're guessing it will not be a totally dry-eyed goodbye. (But not forever: Oprah's cable network, on which she'll also appear, debuts next year.) In prime time, The Office boss (and now movie star) Steve Carell will leave Dunder-Mifflin under new management at the end of this season, which begins Sept. 23. And it's game over for Kyle Chandler and Friday Night Lights as the high school football drama returns for its final episodes of small-town triumph and heartbreak, beginning Oct. 27 on DirecTV.
