Egon Ronay's Taste Buds

Distinguished food critic and restaurateur Egon Ronay, who died earlier this year, was known for his sense of taste. The Hungarian-born Ronay became a leading culinary voice in Britain, publishing his first eponymous restaurant guide in 1957. Perhaps it's only natural that the man who wrote a book called The Unforgettable Dishes of My Life would insure his influential taste buds for some £250,000.
