When you want a new job, you have to dress the part. That's why Scott McAdams, the Democrat running for Senate in Alaska, tries on an assortment of neckties in this lighthearted ad. It's not his style, but McAdams tells us he's willing to get gussied up if that's what's necessary to bring home the bacon for Alaska. What McAdams is really getting at becomes apparent when, in homage to iconic former Senator Ted Stevens, he busts out a tie bearing an Incredible Hulk design. The beloved Stevens was famous for donning garish, Hulk-themed neckwear during tough political battles, and McAdams needs every bit of mojo he can muster; even superpowers might not be enough to help him close the gap against his opponents, Republican Joe Miller and write-in candidate Lisa Murkowski.
