Mike, Mike, Mike Weinstein
Is that Kenny Loggins? No, it's just the son of Florida state representative Mike Weinstein performing a Footloose-esque ode to his political career. This video has it all: gymnastics, a hepcat taking a keyboard solo, choreography that includes everything from pirouettes to hip-hop moves (presumably to demonstrate that Weinstein is there for ballerinas, break-dancers and everyone in between). The freshman Republican from Jacksonville is running for a second term unopposed — all four of his challengers bailed — but there is one more thing Weinstein could do if he wants to boost turnout: promise voters that if enough of them cast a ballot in his name, he'll kick off the next legislative session with a musical procession into the capitol à la the famous wedding-entrance video. Memo to Mike: Just think about it.
