Marilyn Monroe Performs for John F. Kennedy

"Happy Birthday" has never been the same since. When glamour icon Marilyn Monroe appeared in New York City's Madison Square Garden on May 19, 1962, to perform for John F. Kennedy's 45th birthday, it sent gossip-hounds atwitter. The suggestive rendition, performed during a fundraiser for the Democratic Party under the arena's klieg lights, may simply have been quintessential Monroe. But ever since, Kennedy buffs have always wondered, Marilyn and JFK? This past June, ABC's Good Morning America had an exclusive report on the only known black-and-white photo of Kennedy and Monroe together. So the door is still open to the tantalizing possibility of the ultimate pop culture-political power couple.
