Going Rogue: An American Life Released

Nov. 17, 2009
The buzz surrounding Palin's memoir had reached fever pitch well before the book hit shelves in November. In the 432-page tome, Palin accuses the McCain campaign of controlling her every move — from sartorial choices to dietary habits. She flatly denies being a lush spender and blames gender bias for the controversy surrounding her $150,000 wardrobe. In her New York Times review of the book, Michiko Kakutani writes, "All in all Ms. Palin emerges from Going Rogue as an eager player in the blame game, ungrateful to the McCain campaign for putting her on the national stage."
