"I Misled People"

The President testified under oath during four hours of sworn testimony at the White House, as grand jurors watched via closed-circuit TV. Later, he took to the airwaves acknowledging an "inappropriate" relationship with Monica Lewinsky, denying any criminal wrongdoing, and insisting the affair was a family matter. "Even presidents have private lives," he intoned.
