Gustavo Dudamel at the Hollywood Bowl

Conducting August 1 - 5

Along with the New York Philharmonic's Alan Gilbert, Dudamel is one of two young conductors to helm a major orchestra this year, but he's got the more fabulous hair. The Venezuelan phenom takes the podium at the Hollywood Bowl this summer for three concerts with the Los Angeles Philharmonic. The series opens with a concert version of Bizet's Carmen and closes with Ravel's Bolero — most likely without Bo Derek in attendance.
