Cash Cab

It's not just John Cleese's cab driver who is benefiting from the fare of a lifetime. The cancellation of all flights out of Northern Ireland has resulted in a windfall for one Belfast taxi driver. Joe Duffy was asked on Thursday by a group of businessmen to drive them to London. The 400-mile (640 km) trip, which included a ferry ride, cost the businessmen £650 ($1,000), and they generously left him a £50 ($77) tip. Duffy's company confirmed that the trip was the longest and costliest that any driver in the firm has undertaken but that all Duffy could think about was getting back to bed.
