Carrie White, Carrie

It's not Carrie White's fault she's a wimp. Played by Sissy Spacek in the 1976 horror flick Carrie, she was raised by a fanatically religious mother who kept her away from other kids and all knowledge of dirty things like sex. Because of this, she is completely shocked (and ruthlessly mocked) when she gets her first period. One student takes pity and asks her boyfriend to take Carrie to the prom. But other students are not so kind, and hatch a plot to pour a bucket of pig's blood on her head on prom night. Little do they know this wimpy girl has the power of telekinesis — and a bit of a rage problem.
