A Declaration of Peace

During his first overseas trip as Commander in Chief, President Obama stated emphatically that the U.S. has a problem with terrorism, and not with the Muslim religion. His April address to the Turkish Parliament in Ankara was not his only speech in a Muslim-majority country. Obama repeated the declaration two months later, along with the call for a relationship "based on mutual interest and mutual respect," at Cairo University in Egypt.
