He's 88 now, but Alain Resnais (Last Year at Marienbad) hasn't lost the gift of subversion. This bracingly devious comedy, with Sabine Azema as a dentist-aviatrix, has the sweet effervescence of a tropical drink. Only at the end do you realize that the cocktail is a Molotov.
