The New Me Diet

Eat more, work out less and lose weight while you rest. Sound too good to be true? Don't tell that to Jade and Keoni Teta. The personal trainers may have names that conjure Hugh Hefner's girlfriends, but they look like a couple of guys who can fix (and bench-press) your car. (They're also holistic physicians and biochemists. So there.) Their new book is about transforming your metabolism by targeting specific hormones that burn fat. The authors first help you determine your "Burning Type" — sugar, muscle or mixed — and then lays out a tailored diet plan. The bonus is that you don't have to skimp on food — the diet calls for five to six normal-size meals a day. The authors also tell readers to step off the treadmill and pick up weights. They have designed a series of rest-based weight-training exercises to be done three times a week in accordance with the food plan.
