Cinemin Swivel

Netbooks may be cool, cheap and delightfully portable but they aren't well equipped where it really counts: screen size. That's an acceptable trade-off, though, once you own WowWee's Cinemin Swivel. Powered by Texas Instruments' DLP technology, the pint-sized projector casts a vibrant screen image up to 60 inches. Whether you're projecting onto the wall, ceiling or seat in front of you, the Cinemin's 90-degree projector hinge easily turns any surface into a screen. It works with a variety of other gadgets including Flip video cameras, iPods, DVD players and digital cameras. The Cinemin even has a built-in speaker and lasts up to two hours per charge. The only thing it can't do is make doughnuts, you know, because the name sounds like a delicious fried pastry.

Price: About $300
