Dropping the Ball

Has there ever been a more cringe-inducing anchor meltdown than the one suffered by college newscaster Brian Collins during this Ball State University sports broadcast? The clip rocketed around the Web, and Collins' catchphrase, "Boom goes the dynamite!," became a sensation, with Jon Stewart, Will Smith, Bob Costas and ESPN anchor Scott Van Pelt among those who have since invoked it on the air. As for Collins, he recovered from the rocky performance and landed a job in broadcasting at a TV station in Waco, Texas.
